ICRAS reduced crane cycle time up to 37 %
This full automated bulk material handling crane is operating at
Wülfrather Zement at Sötenich, Germany. The crane control system is
connected into plant management system and it operates
unmanned.
Before ICRAS installation the crane load sway was limited using
mechanical guidance structure, which is seen under the crane trolley.
Hoisting all the way up before every movement caused both loss of
operation time and wearing out of the hoist machinery in continuous
operation. When the load hit the mechanical anti-sway structure
mechanical and electrican shock was caused to crane structure and
drives. This often caused failures in the drives and other electrical
components.
After ICRAS installation the plant reported up to 37 % increased
production rate. Reliability of the crane was also improved
significantly. The crane has been in continuous process use several
years without any problems. |
