A crane equipped with ICRAS can be operated without load sway, making the operator’s job easier and more pleasant. The operator can handle more and perform better each working day. Learning how to operate the crane is also a faster process. The same ICRAS-equipped crane can handle hoists that demand both power and precision, thus improving working efficiency and raising productivity.

ICRAS enables automated load transfers
An ICRAS system is generally used in automated cranes. A hoist equipped with an ICRAS system can be provided with functions to facilitate positioning or can be used to perform fully-automated functions. If sway angle measurement is required, it can be included or retrofitted at any time. When the load no longer swings, the crane can be equipped with the fully- or semi-automated functions common to other process automation equipment.

An application to suit all cranes
Applications containing the same basic technology and suitable for all EOT and gantry cranes can be selected for the ICRAS system.ICRAS is suitable for the full spectrum of cranes – from standard, manually-operated, industrial EOT cranes right through to demanding harbour cranes and automated process cranes.

ICRAS technology has been commercially available since 1992. The name behind the system is the Finnish company Innocrane Ltd, a global leader in load sway systems and control technology development.
